Juan Antonio Anquela has praised his Granada side despite their 2-1 loss to Athletic Bilbao at Estadio Los Carmenes.
A brace from Aritz Aduriz was enough to give the Basque club three points, but the 55-year-old Coach was delighted with his men for their efforts.
“The second half was our best period of the season so far,” he told reporters after the game. “I am very proud of my players for how they worked and fought until the last seconds.
“My only regret is that we couldn't get another goal. I hope we stay with the same intensity for the remaining games.
“Today I saw for the first time full conviction in a match.”
