Mauricio Pochettino is keen for Espanyol to continue their gradual improvement from recent weeks with three points away to Real Sociedad.
The Catalans are trying to recover from a dreadful start to the season and consecutive home games to Rayo Vallecano and Malaga did allow them to pick up four points from a possible six.
For Pochettino, the important think is to follow that up with another result tomorrow lunchtime at Anoeta, so as to also forget the midweek Cup defeat at Sevilla.
“This is an essential game for both Real Sociedad and for us,” commented the Argentine to today’s media.
“Our only goal is to win, it would be very important to add three points away from home.
“We’ve already recovered from Thursday’s Cup defeat. All of us really want to play tomorrow’s game and hopefully progress, we are gradually improving and we must continue on this line.
“Tomorrow may be an important day.”
For Pochettino, it is also a chance to show work on the training ground to fix a particular problem has been successful.
