Anquela promises 100 per cent effort

Juan Antonio Anquela has admitted that his Granada team will give the Copa del Rey 'the prestige it deserves'.

The Grana travel to La Romareda to face Real Zaragoza on Wednesday, and the 55-year-old Coach has told reporters that his side will give their all for the win.

“Tomorrow is a tremendous opportunity to give ourselves a foot up,” he told a Press conference. “I am convinced that I have the players to compete in any match.

“My players have to want to die for the shirt, and keep giving the cup the prestige it deserves.”

He also commented on his side's recent poor League form, that has seen them lose their previous two matches – away to Levante and at home to Real Zaragiza themselves.

“We have to change what has happened in recent weeks,” he said. “The players have not given their best, and that has to stop when we play tomorrow.”
