Pellegrino furious with team

Valencia boss Mauricio Pellegrino has lambasted his side after their 1-0 loss to Real Betis at Estadio Benito Villamarin.

An early goal from Salva Sevilla was enough to give the home side the three points, and the 41-year-old Coach has hit out at his team, calling their performance 'a horror show'.

“The first half was a horror show,” he told a Press conference. “The second half though, was the team I want to see. I think the fairest thing would have been a draw.

“I think we have a good group of players, but that first half was not what I want to see.”

He also commented on whether Tuesday's Champions League action may have caused a reaction with his team.

“It is always hard to play two games at the highest level,” he said. “We have to start having the correct attitude.”
