Malaga Coach Manuel Pellegrini has congratulated Espanyol after the two sides drew 0-0 on Saturday.
The Chilean tactician has admitted that his side did not deserve to win at Cornelia-El Prat, and praised the home side for their endeavours.
“We did not come here to draw,” he told a Press conference. “But sometimes you just cannot win. The draw was a fair result.”
He also commented on the squad's rotation policy, as he started the game without the likes of Joaquin and Javier Saviola.
“On Wednesday we played a game, and today we required a full physical effort. It's a complicated situation, so we left some good players on the bench.”
