Defender Gerard Pique believes Barcelona could not have started the season any better.
The Blaugrana are top of La Liga after seven wins from eight games and also top their Champions League section with a 100 per cent record. Pique has been unable to play a part in their recent successes though, as he is currently out with a sprained foot.
“Our start to the League has been very good,” the former Manchester United man smiled in an online chat with fans.
“It could not have been any better, even if we are suffering a little. The team is playing well and Tito [Vilanova] will have a good year.”
What Pique is referring to is to Barca's habit of mounting comebacks, five of their victories this season having been achieved after they fell behind.
“We are on the right track in the Champions League. It will not be easy, you're up against the best teams in the world, you have to work hard.”
