Aguilar out of Galician derby

Deportivo de La Coruna midfielder Abel Aguilar has been ruled out of this weekend’s Galician derby with Celta Vigo at Balaidos.

Marca reports that the Colombian international has picked up a hip injury and will miss his first game since signing for Depor on loan from Hercules before the start of the campaign, having played every minute of every match so far.

Aguilar, 27, is set to undergo a few days of intensive therapy and then gradually increase his training regime, although any improvement will not come in time for him to take part in the first Primera derby between the clubs for five years.

Boss Jose Luis Oltra will also be without striker Diogo Salomao, who has a calf muscle problem after playing 11 minutes of the 5-4 defeat to Barcelona last weekend, his first outing of the season.

Javier Camunas and Manuel Pablo Garcia are also doubtful but frontman Riki will be available after receiving an elbow from Javier Mascherano in the Barca game.
