Tino Costa was on the verge of leaving Valencia in the summer, but has now put pen to paper on a new contract at Mestalla.
The midfielder was thought surplus to requirements during the previous transfer market and keen to move on, after two seasons with Los Che, but was reportedly convinced to stay by new Coach Mauricio Pellegrino.
The Argentine’s involvement of his fellow countryman in first-team affairs since has now seen the 27-year-old midfielder reportedly agree to an extension on his current deal.
Costa is understood to have put pen to paper on a one-year addition to his contract with the Valencian outfit.
