Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has admitted that his side deserved to lose against Espanyol at Estadi Cornelia-El Prat.
A last minute Christian Stuani goal gave the Catalan side a 3-2 win, and the 42-year-old Coach has conceded that his team were second best on Sunday.
“The end result is what is important,” he told a Press conference. “I am happy to some extent with the team, but our own errors cost us.
“We need to improve on some small details, but we deserved to lose.”
He also declined to comment on referee Teixeira Vitienes, who sent a player off from either side in the second half.
“I do not want to talk about the referee,” he said. “We are the ones who lost the match, and I do not want to divert attention from that.”
