Deschamps: Spain best in the world

France Coach Didier Deschamps has called Spain 'the best team in the world' ahead of their meeting on Tuesday.

Les Bleus' face Vicente del Bosque's side in midweek at Vicente Calderon, and the former World Cup-winning midfielder has praised his side's Group I opponents.

“Spain are the best team in the world,” he told the France Football Federation's official website. “But our players have faith. We have an opportunity to take something from the game, so we must play the game to the best of our abilities.

“We have to be effective in front of goal, because we had a lot chances [in our 1-0 friendly loss] against Japan last Friday.

“We will undoubtedly face difficulties against the Spanish. We should not deny the fact that they have better individual and collective quality than we do. But we have to be convinced of our own ability and confident we can win.”
