Alcacer: I want 8 or 9 goals

On-loan striker Paco Alcacer is confident his first goal for Getafe will come soon – and be followed by many more.

The Spanish Under-19 international has joined the club from the Madrid suburbs on a year's loan deal from Valencia.

Thus far he has made four appearances from the bench for the Azulones, but is yet to find the net.

“I want to score eight or nine goals this year, but before that comes the first,” Alcacer told AS. “It will come. I'm having chances, and that's important.”

The 19-year-old had to be convinced the Coliseum Alfonso Perez was the right place for him, having wanted to stay at Mestalla and fight for his place, but is glad he reconsidered.

“I am happy, both on and off the field I have integrated well. The group is good. What I want is to grow as a player, to learn and to contribute my bit for the group. We're taking things game by game, and next up is Levante.”
