Rayo Vallecano captain Javi Fuego has admitted the club are delighted with 10 points from their first seven La Liga games.
The Madrid-based club are currently sitting in mid-table, and the 28-year-old midfielder has conceded that Paco Jemez and his men are extremely pleased with their start to the campaign.
“It is a good situation to be in,” he told a Press conference today. “We've played seven games – some good, some not so good, and others where we didn't play well but got points.
“We are in a comfortable position, but there is still a long way to go until the end of the season.”
He also commented on the next game after the international break, away to Espanyol – a ground where they lost 5-1 last year.
“They are a very dangerous team, at a place where we have bad memories from last season. We will try to bring back those feeling for the game, because it is important for us that that doesn't happen again.”
