Ever Banega says he is back from injury for Valencia and eager to put the nightmare of the past few months behind him.
The Argentine midfielder broke his leg in two places in February when he was involved in a freak accident at a gas station and his car rolled over him.
Back in training from last week, Banega is keen to restart his playing career and is counting down the weeks to regaining full fitness.
“I went through some bad moments, I hope it is only a bad memory and I can start again, I’m very excited with this team that I have much to be grateful for,” he told reporters today.
“I have made progress thanks to everyone here and now I hope that with Valencia I can come back and do things well.
“I have recovered and am raring to get back into the main group and to start playing again. I want to help the team and to play in the same way as before.
“The team is very good, the results dictate things, but the team is working well, we have to follow the same line and the results will eventually come.”
