More injury woe for Mallorca

Real Mallorca midfielder Joao Victor could be out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

It's yet another serious injury blow for Joaquin Caparros' side, who have already lost both Victor Nunes and Antonio Lopez to knee complaints and Javi Marquez to a fractured ankle.

Victor has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, and will undergo surgery in Barcelona during the next few days, but the club have confirmed on their website that the prognosis is between six and seven months out.

The 23-year-old Brazilian suffered the injury 14 minutes into yesterday's 2-1 defeat at home to Granada.
