Paco Jemez is eagerly awaiting welcoming former side Deportivo to Vallecas on Saturday afternoon, who he sees currently as in trouble.
The 42-year-old played with Depor between 1993 and 1998 and plays host to them today as Coach of Rayo Vallecano, keen to stretch their winless run to six games.
“When Deportivo come I will have great affection because I spent five years there,” he told reporters.
“Specifically this season I have not followed them so much, but I have seen a couple of games. That they are where they are is not because they are doing things badly.
“But, it is a place that is very demanding. Anything else matters little, and, although the people initially seemed to be behind the team, now there seems to be some discomfort.
“However, I do not expect Deportivo will give us anything.”
