One win to turn Osasuna around

Alvaro Cejudo believes that all Osasuna need in order to turn their bad start to the season around is a win next weekend.

Los Rojillos are currently joint bottom of the League on one point approaching Week 6, but Cejudo believes that in hosting Levante, there is an opportunity to reverse the situation.

“A win over Levante would put us in the fight with many other teams,” he enthused today.

“The message is what it is, because if we win on Sunday then we are back in the mix. We will have four points and we would be in the fight against the others. That is the target and our hope.

“We are eager to get the first win and more so in front of our fans, who deserve it. We have to win, whilst at home we always have to win – this week and next. The pressure, in this sense, is always the same. Winning, will return that motivation again and it will return everything back to normal.”

One criticism of the team has been their inability in front of goal this season, something that Cejudo is all to aware of, after a big miss at the weekend.

“I have really wanted to get a goal, but I am not obsessed by this. I felt really bad after the Real Zaragoza match, because I had the opportunity when at 1-2 and the game certainly would have been different.”
