Angel Di Maria is hopeful that the ‘great game’ he saw Real Madrid play is recognised by Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese Coach has twice laid into his players in post-match Press conferences this season, after away defeats to Getafe and Sevilla.
However, after beating Rayo Vallecano 2-0 tonight at Vallecas, Di Maria believes the team did enough to earn some praise from the boss.
“We did a good job. We had to start to reverse the situation in the League and we have succeeded,” began the Argentine after the game.
“We played a great game and we must continue down this path. The important thing is that we won in a very difficult field. Hopefully the Coach is happy with what we have done.
“We’ve given everything and that is why we have won. Our relationship with the Coach is very good.”
