Real Madrid have confirmed that they will be taking legal action in response to former Barcelona Vice-President Alfons Godall’s words this week.

Godall has brought this reaction of the capital club through comments made about their Coach Jose Mourinho, via social networking site Twitter.

The former VP at Barca, who served with the Catalans from 2003 to 2010 until the end of Joan Laporta’s spell, wrote a derisory posting in reference to Mourinho’s celebrations for Real’s match-winning, stoppage-time goal on Tuesday evening against Manchester City.

“Unfortunately the psychopath is celebrating goals like a player,” he posted. “It shall compensate for the frustration of being rubbish while playing.”

Real Madrid have communicated today via a statement that they will be taking legal advice on the matter and then suitable action in response.

“Real Madrid rejects in the strongest the words of former Barcelona Vice-President Alfons Godall, toward the standing of our Coach Jose Mourinho, after the conclusion of Tuesday’s meeting between our team and Manchester City,” read the statement on the club’s official website.

“Real Madrid condemns this attack and has instructed its legal team to undertake legal action that they deem appropriate. Real Madrid will not allow attacks of this nature and will always act against those who violate the honour of those who are a part of our club.”
