‘Valencia defeat unfair to Celta’

Gustavo Cabral has today lamented his Celta Vigo teammates’ poor mistakes against Valencia that cost them a result at Mestalla.

The Galicians came away from Los Che’s ground with a 2-1 defeat yesterday, something that Celta’s goalscorer in the game Cabral believes was unjust.

“It was an unfair defeat, because in the first half what we did was very good and we could have scored more goals,” he declared to reporters today.

“We didn’t have the good sense to do so and in the end paid for our mistakes when taking something home from Mestalla would have been great.

“We have already worked hard to get to play in the Primera Division and we now have to realise that we are playing against the elite. Yesterday we played a great first half, we had the ball and the initiative, but the second half ran away from us somewhat and we have paid for that.

“We need to improve on the road. At home we are playing great, as we showed against Malaga and Osasuna.

“At Balaidos we play with a lot more personality, confidence and we create many chances. Away from home is costing us. I’m not sure why.”
