Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke told a Press conference on Saturday that his team cannot just rely on Radamel Falcao’s goals.
Los Rojiblancos take on Rayo Vallecano at the Vicente Calderon on Sunday night and Koke [pictured, left] maintains the scoring amongst his Atletico teammates should be shared between them.
“We can’t just live solely on Falcao’s goals,” he insisted. “Simeone is asking all the midfielders as well as the wide men to get forward more and try to score more goals, which is something we are working on.
Asked if the international break would affect Atletico after the good start to the La Liga season, Koke said the players not on duty for their respective countries had worked had during the recess.
He is also looking forward to the game against cross-city rivals Rayo and says it is a special occasion for him.
“I am very proud to be playing against the team from the place I was brought up in and it will be great for me.
“However, once I get on the pitch I will forget about everything,” he declared.
