T. Costa: Trust in Valencia

Tino Costa has affirmed his faith in Valencia’s start to the 2012-13 season, even if they have yet to win a game.

After three rounds played, Mauricio Pellegrino’s men are in the bottom half of the table with just two points to their name.

However, as Costa has pointed out, the start has included trips to Real Madrid and Barcelona and, in his opinion, has produced good displays from his teammates.

“The team has played well and, even if we have not won in three games, I have admired the team’s work and sacrifice on the pitch,” he told the media today.

“Despite playing against the two biggest clubs in Europe, the team is good and you have to trust in it.”

Even so, the Argentine admitted that there is room for improvement, which will need to be seen this weekend at Mestalla.

“We will have to improve and in many ways, but that’s what the Coach is working on as it is why we failed last year.

“This weekend we have to win, to start winning at home, even if it takes a while to adapt to the new system, we have to win on Saturday against Celta because it is very important.”
