Ricardo Carvalho yesterday trained alongside his Real Madrid teammates for the first time since failing to win a move away in the summer.
The veteran Portuguese centre-back had spent the summer months training by himself or with the club's second string as he sought a move elsewhere. He had not formed part of the first team since featuring in a 2-0 friendly win against Kuwait in May, almost four months ago.
But with no attractive offers forthcoming, Carvalho now looks set to see out the final year of his deal in the Spanish capital. However, the 34-year-old former Chelsea player is highly unlikely to play any part when José Mourinho's side go to Sevilla on Saturday night.
