Villa, Soldado or Torres for Georgia

Monday’s training session for Spain revealed that Vicente del Bosque is all but decided on the XI to play Georgia tomorrow, but for the No 9 position.

The tactician divided the squad into two eight-man teams for a practice match during La Roja’s workout, with the stronger side generally expected to indicate his preferred starting line-up for Tuesday evening’s opening World Cup qualifier against Georgia.

Those eight are anticipated to be joined in the team by Iker Casillas in goal and Gerard Pique in defence.

However, alternating between David Villa and Roberto Soldado in that line-up, speculation is that Del Bosque is undecided on his main striker, with Fernando Torres still thought to hold an advantage in leading the attack tomorrow.

Spain probable XI to face Georgia: Casillas, Arbeloa, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Alonso; Xavi, Iniesta, Silva; Torres
