Having already assured themselves a place in the play-offs, Spain’s Under-21s are much changed for tonight’s match with Croatia.
La Rojita guaranteed top spot in Group 5 of the 2013 UEFA Under-21 qualification phase – and a place in the qualifying play-offs – thanks to a point in Sion on Thursday.
In closing the group stage at home to Croatia in Alicante, Coach Julen Lopetegui has made several changes, including bringing in goalkeeper Diego Marino and centre-backs Nacho Fernandez and Jordi Amat.
Sergi Roberto is handed his third cap for the Under-21s with a starting berth in midfield, alongside the incoming Asier Illarramendi. Alvaro Vazquez replaces Rodrigo Moreno in attack too.
