Carles Puyol is on schedule to be available to Barcelona for their first game after the September international break.
The defender is not involved in Vicente del Bosque’s Spain squad for games with Saudi Arabia and Georgia and instead is back in Catalonia training with Barca.
Today saw the veteran complete a full workout with the B team, alongside the four other first team players not on international duty, wearing a protective mask for the fractured cheekbone he suffered against Osasuna in Week 2.
The injury has kept him out of first-team affairs since, but he is now expected to be cleared to play in the Catalans’ next League match, scheduled for September 15 at Getafe.
