Pellegrino: Nothing special for Barca

Mauricio Pellegrino has hinted that he has nothing special planned to try and stop Barcelona this weekend, beyond his players working hard.

Los Che lost twice last season at Camp Nou to the Catalans, with Lionel Messi netting four in a 5-1 League demolition.

However, upon his first visit to the ground as Valencia Coach, Pellegrino is suggestive that nothing beyond grit and determination will beat Barca.

“The objective is not to surprise our opponent with an unusual approach, but to do so on the scoreboard with a favourable result,” reflected the Argentine.

“I think their idea of the game has not changed, although it is too early to talk about it and it isn’t for me to make judgements on it either.

“Barcelona dominate all facets of the game, they are capable of creating danger without requiring excessive effort.

“The game is going to be tough for us, but also for Barcelona.”
