Malaga have confirmed the loan signing of Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz from Manchester City.
The 31-year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at Real Betis where he netted seven times in La Liga, joins the Costa del Sol outfit on a similar season-long temporary deal.
The former Bayern Munich man was strongly linked with Stoke City in England and to a possible return to Betis, but is understood to have chosen Malaga for their entrance into the Champions League.
After Manuel Iturra and Javier Saviola, Santa Cruz is the club’s third signing of the transfer window.
