Swansea back in for Pablo

Swansea are on the verge of signing Pablo Hernandez from Valencia, as reports suggest the move has been accepted by Los Che.

The Premier League club have already successfully raided La Liga this summer, signing Michu from Rayo Vallecano and Jonathan de Guzman on loan from Villarreal during pre-season.

According to reports, the Welsh club have now tabled a €7m bid for 27-year-old Pablo, with the move expected to be completed within the next 12 hours.

This is because sporting director Braulio Vazquez and Coach Mauricio Pellegrino are understood to have met today to ratify the player’s departure – as well as that of Paco Alcacer – and to draw up a list of potential replacements.

Hernandez has been instrumental for Los Che since re-signing for the club in 2008, playing 157 games and scoring 25 goals.

Michael Laudrup's side has originally been in talks with Valencia for the winger’s signature a couple of weeks ago, before talks looked to have stalled.
