Gerard Pique has surprisingly praised Real Sociedad players Antoine Griezmann and Imanol Agirretxe via his Twitter account.
The Barcelona defender was believed to have been watching Saturday’s Real Sociedad-Celta Vigo clash on television when he tweeted following Agirretxe’s 53rd-minute equaliser at Anoeta.
“Very good goal from Real. Griezmann, looking like Messi, drawing defenders then giving an assist to Agirretxe. 1-1,” he wrote.
Pique followed this up with another tweet when Agirretxe got his second, and what turned out to be the winner, on the hour mark. It suggested the Spanish international has a thorough knowledge of Spanish football.
“A second from Agirretxe. In the first La Liga match of last season I think he also scored two goals in Gijon.”
