Mourinho names Supercopa squad

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has named a 21-man squad for tonight’s Supercopa de Espana game at Barcelona.

The Portuguese has decided to travel on the day of the game with Los Blancos flying into the Catalan capital early this morning, and has left Nuri Sahin, Pepe, Kaka and Ricardo Carvalho out of his list of players.

Sahin is on the verge of finalising a loan move to the Premier League with Arsenal and Carvalho is expected to pen a deal with Queens Park Rangers.

Pepe, on the other hand, is injured after suffering concussion in a clash with his own goalkeeper Iker Casillas in the 1-1 home draw with Valencia at the weekend, while Kaka has been left out for technical reasons.

The full squad is:

Goalkeepers: Casillas, Adan, Jesus.

Defenders: Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Coentrao, Albiol, Arbeloa, Varane, Nacho.

Midfielders: Ozil, Xabi Alonso, Granero, Khedira, Lass, Callejon, Di Maria.

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Higuain, Morata.
