Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed he would shake the hand of Diego Costa should their paths cross at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Italian manager reportedly texted the Spain international at the beginning of the summer to tell him to find a new club, while the 28-year-old previously said he was being treated ‘like a criminal’ by the club.
When asked if he would shake the striker’s hand on Wednesday, when the English champions take on Atletico Madrid, Conte replied: “Yes, as I said before, I have no problem with Diego Costa.
“I said that we wish, for him, the best for the future. We want to thank him for the last season. But, I repeat, I have no problem with him.”
