‘Who wouldn’t like to coach Messi?’

Sevilla boss Jorge Sampaoli has acknowledged he would love to coach Lionel Messi one day, in what could be seen as another hint he could manage Barcelona.

There was speculation earlier this week that the Argentine boss could leave Sevilla if his Barca counterpart Luis Enrique was to leave the Camp Nou, which was not dismissed by the 56-year-old. (http://www.football-espana.net/62280/sampaoli-reflects-barca-links)

"It's a unique opportunity to see the best player in the world up close," Sampaoli is quoted as saying by Goal.

"Today Messi is in great shape. Who wouldn't like to coach him?

"If you make a player like Messi happy you have 95 percent of the game done. It's like those days when [Diego] Maradona felt fine. It's hard to lose when Leo is fine."
