Barcelona full back Aleix Vidal may yet be on his way out of the Spanish champions but a return to Sevilla will not happen, say reports in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo report that whilst the Europa League winners admire Vidal’s qualities and he would be in favour of a return to Andalucia, they already are well covered in the right-hand side of their defence with Gabriel Mercado and Mariano excelling there this campaign.
The 27-year-old was signed by Unai Emery from Almeria in 2014 – who converted him to a full-back from his original position as a winger – but he spent only one season at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan before being signed by Barca.
However, since becoming eligble to play for the Catalans in January he has made only 16 appearances at Camp Nou, of which only two have come this campaign.
The report believes he may yet be moved on this January, with Luis Enrique eyeing up a temporary deal for Shakhtar Donestk full-back Darijo Srna.
