Zidane ‘knows’ starting XI

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has admitted he already knows his starting line-up ahead of their El Clasico clash with Barcelona on Saturday.

The 44-year-old was questioned on what decisions he still had to make ahead of the greatly-anticipated game and whether or not they would be altered by the availability of Barca midfielder Andres Iniesta.

“I’ve already decided upon the starting eleven and that won’t change regardless or not of who is available for Barca,” Zidane told reporters ahead of the match.

“I want to make everyone in the squad feel important – everybody at this club is a great player and they are all important to us.

“Barcelona are the defending champions and they are a side who always performs well in big games, we are ahead at the moment but this is only a small part of the season and regardless of the weekend result the league will be very close.

“We as a team and as a club aim to win every game, Saturday will be no different.”

A win for Zidane’s side on Sunday would give them a nine-point advantage over the reigning league champions.
