Sergio Busquets believes that Barcelona’s style of play has ‘evolved a lot’ over the years, as has his own deep-lying midfield role.
The 28-year-old explained that his responsibilities in the team had grown over the years and confirmed his happiness at the club.
“Barca’s style and football in general has evolved a lot,” Busquets explained on the club’s official TV station.
“Also, in terms of the ‘number 4’ position, I think I’ve taken a step forward in the evolution of this position, given that now you have to do more things than before.
“For me it’s a pleasure to be here. I knew that I wanted a career like this and I hope it can go on for longer and be as good as it has been until this point.
“I know what the team wants and needs.
“I live for football, take care of myself, eat well, rest well and have been lucky that injuries have respected me.”
