Sevilla slither past Dinamo

Samir Nasri got on the scoresheet again as Sevilla narrowly defeated Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 to maintain their unbeaten start in the Champions League.

Switching to a 4-4-1-1 formation for the trip to Croatia, Sevilla resoundingly dominated Dinamo from the first to last whistle, making some 600 more passes than their hosts and helping themselves to 76 percent possession.

However, it wasn’t all plain sailing as they managed just five shots on target all evening, one of which was Nasri putting away Mariano’s right-wing cross for his third goal in the Andalusians’ white and red.

That left Sevilla vulnerable to the threat of a breakaway, but Dinamo’s best effort only came from distance in the latter stages, when teenage full-back Borna Sosa drove the ball inches over Sergio Rico’s crossbar.
