Villarreal have confirmed the departure of the club’s long-term sporting director, Antonio Cordon.
A short statement on the Yellow Submarine’s official website reports Cordon’s exit after 17 years at El Madrigal, and suggests he will be taking up a role elsewhere.
“Villarreal announces Antonio Cordon leaves the position of sporting director after 17 years at the club. The club wants to thank him for his full dedication, commitment and professionalism and wishes him he best of luck in his new career,” the statement read.
