Enrique: Barca must calm down

Luis Enrique has instructed his Barcelona players to “ease the tension” against Granada in La Liga on Saturday.

La Blaugrana host the Andalucians after two highly-charged derbies against Espanyol, the latter of which saw them lose Luis Suarez to a two-match ban and Gerard Pique become the subject of an investigation by Spain's Anti-Violence Commission, and the Coach underlined their need to find peace.

“Granada are on a high after their win against Sevilla, plus they need points,” he said at a Press conference.

“They have players of a good standard and players in attack who can cause problems on the counterattack.

“It's an important game because it's our last game of the [season's] first round and it's important that we continue relying on ourselves.

“[On the two games against Espanyol], I live for the present, which is Granada. The best way to ease the tension is by not talking about it.

“[Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal] must improve their performance levels like the rest of their teammates.

“The team did great in their absence and have the numbers to prove it. There's more competition, now they're available.

“The more we can play football with fewer interruptions, the better. The aim against Granada is three points.

“[On Suarez's ban], it's not up to me. In each country, there's a way of doing things.

“Football wouldn't be football without controversy. That's just the way it is.

“Sergi Roberto is fine and available.

“[On his thoughts of the season's first half], things change so quickly and can change in three games. I'd rather get to the end of season for [evaluations].

“[On Neymar's upcoming trials], he trained wonderfully [on Friday] and had a peaceful day.

“[On Spain's Anti-Violence unit investigating Pique], I have nothing to say.

“[On having 24 players available], I'll manage my squad as I always have.”
