Atletico Madrid will reportedly have to see off competition from Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool in order to sign Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic.
Los Colchoneros have made the purchase of a centre-back a priority following Joao Miranda’s departure to Inter and Toby Alderweireld’s transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, and AS claims the Montenegro international is their main target.
Fiorentina are believed to have set a €15m price on Savic’s head, having already rejected an offer from Zenit St Petersburg, but that is not expected to deter potential suitors.
There is also the possibility of the 24-year-old joining Monaco if Aymen Abdennour leaves this summer, with Atleti also understood to hold an interest in the Tunisian, along with Stuttgart’s Antonio Rudiger.
