Ramos wants Madrid exit?

Sergio Ramos has reportedly decided to leave Real Madrid this summer after growing disillusioned with life at the club.

The defender is under contract until 2017, but AS claims it has been informed by the player’s camp that recent events have left his position at the Santiago Bernabeu untenable.

It is understood that the 29-year-old is furious with Madrid for not publicly denouncing the claims from Jordi Majo of his services being offered to the Barcelona presidential candidate.

In addition, Ramos purportedly believes the information was leaked by Los Blancos, hence their silent stance.

Although negotiations over a renewal have been ongoing for the past few months, they have recently reached an impasse, with Madrid reportedly stunned by his salary demands of €10m.

However, with a year shy of a decade’s worth of service to the club, Ramos feels there should be pay parity between himself and the likes of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez.

Ramos remains a core player in the team alongside Iker Casillas, but it seems both will be jettisoned in similar manner to the likes of Vicente del Bosque, Fernando Hierro and Raul Gonzalez.

He is also understood to have been against Carlo Ancelotti’s dismissal and the idea of Jesus Olmo staying put, despite a number of senior players questioning Florentino Perez’s continued faith in the doctor.

Although the former Sevilla stopper’s contract can only be bought out for €200m, he could now form part of the deal that takes Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea to Madrid or negotiate a move to either Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain.
