Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic says the players have every confidence in boss Luis Enrique as they seek to win three trophies this season.
Barca are still involved in the race for La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey, and Rakitic insists Enrique’s team are going to fight to the end in all of them.
“We are going very well and we’re on the right path so we are going to fight until the end to win the maximum number of trophies possible,” commented the Croatian at a promotional event for a German company.
“Luis Enrique is what he is and without doubt he is one of the best. We’ve improved a lot at set-pieces under him and we trust in him 100 per cent.”
Rakitic was also full of praise for Xavi Hernandez, who made his 500th La Liga appearance at the weekend, a feat managed by only seven other players.
“We appreciate everything about Xavi and he wears the Barcelona badge with pride. He is very important both on and off the pitch and we’d like him to stay a lot longer,” he declared.
