Dani Carvajal has warned Barcelona that Real Madrid “are coming for them” following Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Levante in La Liga.
The capital giants head into next week’s encounter with the Catalans just a point behind them at the summit, courtesy of Gareth Bale’s double against Les Granotes, and the right-back insists his side are ready to do battle with their fiercest rivals.
“[We got] three points and a clean sheet, now we’re coming for Barca,” he said after the game.
“We haven’t had a good month but winning the League depends on us, plus we’re in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Not many [teams] can say that.
“Not at all [have we ever doubted ourselves]. We had a bad month but the team are still the same and our system is still the same.
“Sergio [Ramos] is a great player and it showed [referring to his return against Levante], but we have a big squad.
“The most important thing is that we have everyone back. In a Clasico, there’s never a favourite, but we’re going to Camp Nou with the intention of winning.”
