Madrid target Danilo rejects Porto

Real Madrid target Danilo has rejected the offer a new contract from Porto, according to reports coming from Portugal.

AS cite claims by A Bola that say Porto opened talks with the right-back over fresh terms but his agents pulled out, with his contract due to expire in 2016.

Porto President Pinto da Costa has offered to lower Danilo’s release clause – which currently stands at €50m – in exchange for an extended deal, but the player’s representatives aren’t inclined to negotiate.

The Portuguese giants are aware of Madrid’s interest – and there is also said to be interest from Barcelona and both Manchester City and Manchester United – but Danilo’s agent was spotted in the Spanish capital last week, fuelling speculation of a move to Santiago Bernabeu.
