Lucas Alcaraz believes Levante were full value for their 4-1 victory over Malaga in La Liga on Saturday.
The Valencians ended a run of three straight defeats and pulled clear of the relegation zone with an emphatic win against Javi Gracia's high-fliers, which saw David Barral notably score a hat-trick.
"It was a very important game, which we played at our very limits. The team started well enough yet conceded a goal in an isolated phase of play.
"Normally it'd have been the start of a romp, but it wasn't and the team deserved the win.
"The development of the match meant any outcome other than a Levante victory would have been unfair.
"I congratulate the whole team, especially Barral for scoring three goals, which is never easy. We faced a team who have been revelations [this season] and mastered them."
