Enrique: Atleti tougher at home

Luis Enrique believes Barcelona will find it harder when they face Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon in the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final.

The Catalans take a 1-0 lead into Wednesday's rematch thanks to Lionel Messi's rebounded effort from a missed penalty last week, but the Coach is refusing to take anything for granted just yet.

“I watched all of Barcelona's matches last year. We've analysed them this season, too,” he said at a Press conference.

“I expect Atletico's typical characteristics to be more prevalent at home. I expect a difficult version of Atletico.

“In the [first] two games, we played them at home and caused them problems.

“We expect an intense game, but there's still time. I expect [Atleti] to inflict the same pressure and burden on our game.

“We're facing a situation already known to us, and to be a Barca goalkeeper, you must understand the game, see solutions and execute them.

“We're very well covered in goal and [all our goalkeepers] give us solutions. Teams who press high can cause problems near our goal.

“I just think about winning. I don't know if it's our most important clash, but this match is to pass the Copa [del Rey] quarter-finals.

“You go through all kinds of moments during a season. We've been through good times and some difficult ones.

“Addressing this match in the manner we do builds confidence throughout the team. We're the sum of our parts.

“We've spoken about many things. It's not a matter of pushing a button. I hope to see the best version of this team.

“Hopefully, we won't see any more games like the one at Anoeta, but it can happen.”
