Enrique: Only 17 fans banned?

Luis Enrique sarcastically questioned the number of fans reportedly expelled by Real Madrid on the grounds of anti-Barcelona chants.

AS reports 17 Madrid supporters were heard singing provocative songs about the side's arch-rivals during their 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo on Saturday, leading to their ejection from Santiago Bernabeu.

The news was met with a mixed reaction by the Barca Coach, who praised Los Blancos for their attempts to ease tensions in light of a supporter's death last weekend, but admitted the initiative risked being 'unrealistic'.

"Only 17? It sounds good to me, as does any anti-violence initiative, but it's unrealistic. If we begin to kick fans out for insults, we'll be on our own," he told reporters after La Blaugrana's 5-1 win against Espanyol.

"We're welcome to any anti-violence initiatives. Not that it seems far-fetched, but I don't know where to draw the line.

"We are a country that has a culture of living with passion, enthusiasm … I wish there weren't any insults here, but I see it as almost utopian."
