‘Espanyol do almost everything well’

Elche Coach Fran Escriba is ready for a tough game against Espanyol and believes his side need more goals to get a victory.

Los Franjiverdes are second-bottom of the League, level on points with Levante below and Cordoba above, and host the Catalans on the back of two straight defeats and six games without a win.

Escriba told a pre-match Press conference that it won’t be an easy game thanks to the power of the Espanyol attack.

“They’re well-armed, playing good football and have dangerous forwards,” he noted, AS reports.

“Espanyol have proper positional play. Almost everything they do, they do well, but we won’t change how we play.

“Winning against Espanyol means doing what we have done in recent games but having more success in front of goal. We are very excited and hopeful.

“I’m calm despite the depressive messages that arrive when you’re in the situation we’re in.”
