Barca struggled, Xavi admits

Xavi Hernandez conceded Barcelona found it tough to get through Eibar and believes the victory came in part as the visitors tired.

The game at Camp Nou was goalless at half-time but Barca plugged away and took a 3-0 win by full time, Xavi opening the scoring.

Neymar and Lionel Messi then wrapped up the points but it was tough going, Xavi admitted to reporters.

“We struggled to open them up but after the first half it was easier. I think they got more tired,” he said, AS reports.

“I’m obviously happy with the goal. Sometimes two minutes can change everything but I think we played a good game.

“It’s no coincidence that we haven’t conceded. We all work. The Coach has specific ideas and we all work to them.”

Xavi was asked about Barca’s next League game, the Clasico at Santiago Bernabeu with Real Madrid, but insisted the Champions League game against Ajax was the priority.

“Ajax come to our home first and after losing in Paris we have to get three points,” he insisted.
