Ernesto Valverde believes that more accuracy in front of goal would have given Athletic Bilbao victory over Celta Vigo.
Aritz Aduriz put Athletic in front at San Mames only for a late Nolito goal to equalise, against the run of play, according to Valverde.
“The draw doesn’t do the game justice,” Valverde said, AS reports.
“The team have been good, on the right path as they have been recently. We score one goal and maybe could have had a second, but they, in a rare attack, were level.
“Perhaps if we were more accurate we could have had a great advantage at that point.
“We didn’t find victory but we have found the way. Clearly we wanted to win, but from that point of the view the game makes us stronger.”
