Luis Suarez ready for El Clasico

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez says he is ready to play in the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 25 – if selected.

The Uruguay international’s ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at the Brazil World Cup expires the day before the Madrid match and he claims he is now ready to take part in the clash at the Santiago Bernabeu.

“Every player has to be prepared for every game and I feel good,” declared Suarez, who was speaking at an awards ceremony in Barcelona where he was presented with the Golden Shoe, an award given to the top scorer in the major European Leagues and formerly known as the Golden Boot.

“Maybe if you’d asked me a couple of weeks ago the answer wouldn’t have been the same, but after two friendlies with Uruguay I’m very happy with the condition I’m in.

“I feel better than I thought I would, although there is little time left before El Clasico.

“However, it’s the Coach who decides if and when you play,” he insisted.
